About ALEAP

Women entrepreneurs significantly contribute to economic growth and poverty reduction worldwide. While the number of women operating their businesses is increasing globally, they continue to face huge obstacles, such as a lack of capital, strict social constraints, and limited time and skill, that stunt the growth of their businesses. A group of women, who wanted to bridge this gap in business growth for women,bonded together for a common purpose and formed the "Association of Lady Entrepreneurs" (ALEAP).

The Association of Lady Entrepreneurs of India (ALEAP) was established on 18th December 1993 on the principles of democracy and volunteerism for women to establish their businesses. Registered under Section- 25 of the Companies Act, ALEAP exemplifies commitment to quality and dedication to service. ALEAP, an ISO 9001:2015 certified non-profit organization, acts as a facilitator and helps women acquire entrepreneurial skills andbecome economically independent. ALEAP assiststhese women entrepreneursacross their enterprising endeavors.

By definition, ALEAP exists to advance and uplift the livelihood of its members. ALEAP is one of the most distinguished associations to help women entrepreneurs across India. The rise of women's entrepreneurship is a positive development for the economy and the women who embrace the opportunity and freedom to establish their businesses. Over time, more women are pursuing entrepreneurship to enjoy a better lifestyle. Women need to undergo quality training and expertise to achieve their ambitions, and ALEAP has initiatedseveral developmental activities to accomplish these objectives and goals.

ALEAP is blessed to receive support from the State Govt., Central Govt., social organizations, international organizations, and society. Recently, the organization has completed 28 years of committed services toward shaping women entrepreneurs and generating productive outcomes. ALEAP strongly believes that developmental programs combined with hard work and timely guidance will lead to success.

Current Events




ALEAP conducted a ZED program whose objective was to improve the manufacturing quality of MSMEs, enhance their productivity and reduce the negative impact on the environment.
The ZED Certification envisages the promotion of Zero Defect Zero Effect (ZED) practices among MSMEs so as to:
  • Encourage and enable MSMEs for manufacturing quality products using the latest technology, and tools & to constantly upgrade their processes for the achievement of high quality and high productivity with the least effect on the environment
  • Develop an Ecosystem for ZED Manufacturing in MSMEs, for enhancing competitiveness and enabling exports
  • Promote the adoption of ZED practices and recognize the efforts of successful MSMEs
  • Encourage MSMEs to achieve higher ZED Certification levels through graded incentives
  • Increase public awareness of demanding Zero Defect and Zero Effect products through the MSME Sustainable (ZED) Certification
  • Identify areas to improve upon, thereby assisting the Government in policy decisions and investment prioritization
